Why Dentures, Hearing aids and Walking sticks are selling more in New Delhi....

The conclusion is inescapable. Old Ministers will lead a nation now known world wide for its young populace, which is flaunted in various discussions as a great advantage over others including China.

Such a generation gap between leaders and the voters can have some implications. Usually it is loss of touch with reality. Not knowing the pulse of people always leads to downfall. This is also advanced as one of the reasons of the downfall of CPM in West bengal. [Incidentally Mamata Banerjee is the youngest Minister, she is 54.] Good luck to you, Dr. Manmohan Singh!

The average age is 65! At this age Ratan Tata retired star directors of his group companies!

Here is a list with the names of Ministers [sworn in so far]:

The Cabinet Ministers: SM Krishna [77], BK Hadique [74], Pranab Mukherjee [73], V Ravi [72], N Veerappa Moily [69], AK Antony [68], Jaipal Reddy [67], Ambika Soni [65], Meira Kumar [64], P Chidambaram [63], Kamal Nath [62], Kapil Sibal [60], Gulam Nabi Azad [60], Anand Sharma [56], CP Joshi [59], Mamata Banerjee [54]. If we add Dr Manmohan Singh [76] to the list, the average age will go up further.

If the demand for new walking sticks, dentures and hearing aids shoots up in the capital ciy of New Delhi, it should not surprise anybody.
